Glacier National Park showcases some of Montana’s most spectacular mountain scenery, with glacier-carved valleys, alpine meadows, towering peaks, clear lakes, and more than 700 miles of hiking trails. Whitefish, Montana, is a year-round destination known for its beautiful scenery, outdoor recreation, and welcoming small-town atmosphere. Located near Glacier National Park, the city provides easy access to hiking, biking, boating, fishing, skiing, and snowboarding. Visitors can also spend time exploring Downtown Whitefish with its shops, galleries, and restaurants or experiencing Whitefish Lake and Whitefish Mountain Resort.

The Bigfork Community Nordic Center offers a scenic setting for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing in Montana’s Flathead Valley. The center maintains more than 10 kilometers of groomed trails across flat to gently rolling terrain, making it a good option for a range of abilities. During warmer months, the trails can also be used for hiking and mountain biking.

Lone Pine State Park offers visitors a scenic introduction to Montana’s Flathead Valley. The park features 7.5 miles of trails for hiking, mountain biking, horseback riding, and winter snowshoeing. Visitors can also explore the park’s visitor center, participate in educational programs, enjoy a picnic, or try the year-round public archery range.
